Our Values

1. We believe in a high view of God where His greatness permeates all of life. Therefore, we will promote and encourage an intimate and growing relationship with Jesus. (John 17:2-3)

2. We believe that all people matter to God. Therefore, we will involve ourselves in the lives of others with a view to the demonstration of God’s love and the furtherance of God’s kingdom on earth. (John 3:16-17, John 13:34-35)

3. We believe that “heart change” leads to “life change” and this happens from the perspective of God’s grace which enhances the individual's obedience in the faith and fulfilment of their civic responsibilities and obligations. Therefore, we will foster an atmosphere of His saving and transforming grace in all that we do. (Titus 2:11-14, Ephesians 2:8, 2Corinthians 5:17, Mark 12:30-31, 1Peter 2:17, 1Timothy 2:1-4)

4. We believe that true community is what God intended for His church. Therefore, we will strive to make LivingGrace Assembly a relationship-driven fellowship of Christian believers. (Acts 2:42, John 13:35)

5. We believe in the priority of congregational meetings, prayer, worship and the joyful, contemporary celebration of our faith. Therefore, through our ministry activities and programmes we will provide opportunities for people to connect with God in joyful celebration, contemplative worship, and reflective celebration of communion. (Hebrews 10:24-25, 1Corinthians 11:25)

6. We believe that men and women were created uniquely by God and that each person who comes to faith in Jesus Christ is gifted to serve the Body of Christ. Therefore, we will strive to ensure that their roles and service within the church are determined by spiritual giftedness rather than just gender. (Ephesians 2:10, Acts 2:17-18, 1Corinthians 12:4-7)

7. We believe the Bible is authoritative, culturally relevant and life-changing when it is taught in a Spirit-anointed way. Therefore, we will strive for relevance and the Spirit's power in our teaching and Bible studies. (2Timothy 3:16-17)

8. We believe in passing the torch of Christian faith to the next generation. Therefore, we will place a high priority on preparing, equipping and involving our youth in all areas of the activities of the Assembly and its ministries. (1Timothy 1:5-6, 2Timothy 2:1-2)

9. We believe that the Holy Spirit has gifted every believer in Christ Jesus for ministry. Therefore, we will establish programmes for people to discover their spiritual gifts and provide opportunities for them to serve in their demonstrated areas of giftedness. (Romans 12:4-8, 1 Peter 4:10-11)

10. We believe in “teamwork” in all areas of ministry. We will therefore consider each ministry team as an opportunity to guide individuals towards spiritual maturity. (Hebrews 10:24-25, Romans 12:4-8)
